In light of the baseless claims\u2014which are inconsistent with the facts and distort legal and technical processes\u2014recently disseminated to the public by certain individuals and platforms regarding the Bayrami\u00e7 Gold and Silver Mine Project, we feel it necessary to issue the following statement.<\/p>\n
First and foremost, it must be clearly stated that the mining license for \u00c7anakkale Province, registration number 82225, has never been revoked at any stage and has maintained its legal validity without interruption. All financial and administrative obligations related to the license have been fulfilled regularly, and applications for the extension of the license period have been submitted within the legal deadlines.<\/p>\n
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Approval Decision for the project retains its legal validity. There are no changes in the current type of activity, production capacity, or project scope that would require a new EIA process. Following the renewal of the license, the necessary applications for forest permits were submitted in accordance with relevant legislation, obligations were fulfilled, and the relevant permits were reissued in compliance with the law.<\/p>\n
At Alt\u0131nkale Mining, we view participation, transparency, and accountability as fundamental elements of responsible mining. In this context, our doors are open to all civil society organizations, professional associations, academic circles, and relevant stakeholders who raise concerns. Upon request, technical and legal information regarding the processes will be shared transparently, and questions will be answered directly by our expert teams.<\/p>\n
It is legally impossible for any mining activity in Turkey to be conducted without a license or permit. All ongoing work at the Kirazl\u0131 site is being carried out in accordance with the permits, licenses, and workplace opening and operation permits obtained under the relevant legislation.<\/p>\n
Contrary to the allegations raised, the process has proceeded not as the reissuance of a revoked license, but as the completion of license renewal procedures based on a legal application, the updating of existing permits in accordance with the legislation, and within the framework of a legally compliant corporate share transfer.<\/p>\n
As Alt\u0131nkale Mining, we view environmental responsibility and rehabilitation as core responsibilities alongside production. We are committed to implementing rehabilitation efforts in accordance with international standards in areas where operations have been completed.<\/p>\n
It has been observed that certain claims reflected in the public domain contain incomplete or inaccurate information and assessments detached from the entirety of legal processes. This situation not only leads to information confusion among the public but may also harm Turkey\u2019s investment climate, domestic production capacity, and the resolve to contribute our domestic resources to the national economy in accordance with the principles of environmental responsibility and the public interest.<\/p>\n
